Persuade your council to adopt new licensing regime

Thanks to your efforts, councils can now chose to stop licensing lap dancing clubs like cafes, but instead regulate them as part of the sex industry. This new licensing gives local authorities greater powers to regulate lap dancing clubs, to determine how many new clubs should open and ultimately whether to renew the licensing of existing clubs.  It also  gives communities much greater say on whether lap dancing clubs should open locally.

However, these licensing powers are optional. It is crucial that your local authority adopts this legislation to give you a greater say over the licensing of lap dancing clubs in your area.
